Install and connect.
Run the client on your Windows computer, then point it at the Leaf server that holds your library.
Connect your library
Choose your existing Leaf server in the app. For a local server, keep Docker and the Leaf backend running. The installer includes the client, not Docker or the backend.
Explore your sources
Open Library to import your PDFs, EPUBs, documents, or local folders. Follow cited passages, create study material, and write notes. No account is required to start.
Use the same library on phone and Windows.
Research, Study, and Notes share the same interface and server features across the phone and Windows client. Connect both devices to the same reachable server and sign in to the same account to access the same library. Guest workspaces remain separate.
On your phone, use your server’s private network or HTTPS relay address. This local pilot does not automatically expose your PC to the internet. AI answers require internet access.
Installation and updates.
Windows installation & updates
The local pilot is unsigned. Check that the file came from your own Leaf server before running it. Install a newer setup executable to update the client. You can uninstall through Windows Settings; your server library is stored separately. Mobile store downloads and automatic updates are not available yet.
